Kimberly King—also known as Tough Topics Mom on Instagram—and her son, Zack, just released the newest edition of their award-winning children’s book: I Said No: A Kid-to-Kid Guide to Keeping Private Parts Private.
Incest AWARE partners with Bookshop.org to host a library of books that helps to prevent and end incest. We receive a commission on all book sales.
In Incest AWARE’s latest OutSPOKEN Series interview, King tells both Zach and her stories of unsafe touch by people they trusted. Then she shares why together they chose to write a book to help parents, caregivers, professionals, and children all understand safe touch in a fun and accessible way.
Specifically, King and I discuss how this children’s book and others can help prevent and end incest abuse by educating all of our community members about bodies, boundaries, and sexuality—beginning at home. Watch and listen now!
